Writings on Sound, Sound Art and Electronic Music
Hertz brings a background in sound studies and performance research to reviews and creative essays on contemporary music, sound art and performance. His work has appeared in numerous publications, artist books, catalogues, and both online and print magazines, including recent reviews and essays in High Pitch Magazine, Rewire Reflections, and Positionen: Texte zur aktuelle Musik.
He is currently the guest editor for the upcoming “Ecology” issue of High Pitch Magazine, due to be released in November 2025, and the co-editor of an upcoming issue of the GeoHumanities journal.
